My Hubby is so Sweet......

He came home today with 9 of these containers for my projects. Then her told me he's going to be getting me more. I was keeping all my projects on the shelf in bags that I had gotten from my LQS. also that's my sewing machine that just came home.

So it's a very happy me today.

Hibiscus Delight and other stuff.

Well, yesterday I was at my LQS taking a class from Malia-Marion Bosch with my Applique group. The picture is what we did. I still have to applique it and then add batting and backing. Then do the echo quilting to it. The class was so much fun. We each got a Lei and our name tags are also our label for our quilts(see below). I had the supply list and brought fabric from home. Found out from our directions She was teaching us, that what I though I had gotten as a full yard wigth in a swap was only 3/4 a yard wigth. So I didn't have enough fabric to do the quilt. Well, Malia grabbed my hand and lead me out to the quilt shop and bought me enough fabric to do the quilt top. So what you see in the picture is the fabrics she picked out.

We also had a Luau for Lunch the food was very good even though I couldn't eat some of it due to being allergic to coconut. I also won 2 door prizes, the first one I won was the day brefore when we went to see Malia's trunk show and heard her talk about Haiwii, I got a pack of FQ's that are muliti-colored. Then at the class I won Hula Duster from Haiwii, Malia said they hang them off their sewing machine's and after they are done with a quilt the use it to dust their sewing machine off with (picture to the right)

I also joined the Spring 4 Season Quilt Swap, I can't wait to start on my quilt I already have an idea in mind I hope whoever I get likes it. Will post more when I get started on it.

I also got my partner today for the Belladonna Easter Basket Swap. Her name is Jeannie and I can't wait to start getting all her stuff together to mail out to her.

Oh and my MIL brought my sewing machine home wednesday to. All it needed was the belt to be put back on. But they oiled and realined everything too. I'm happy to get it bavk as now I can finish my Fiber Arts quilt top that I want to put in my local fair this year.

SFRR Update and what I've been doing today

Well I got all my paperwork done for this RR and I have everything packed and addressed to mail-out. I can't say who I'm mailing it to. That's part of the rules. I am so looking forward to doing this RR.
Today I've been making the flowers petals for the hollyhocks quilt. I have to make 3 flowers and they havew 20+ petals each. so I have been ironing and folding most of the day and will be tomorrow too.
I also cleaned up my computer desk and my sewing area yesterday boy was that a mess. I still have to do my crafts/tv table and one other corner but I will get to that soon.

My new sewing maching is in the shop being fix. It's been there since last week. My MIL got it for me as I didn't have a reciept so she had to go to Wal-mart to get a copy of then take the reciept down to the shop, which she did Saturday. So I'm hoping they will call me this week and tell me it is done and fix. At least it was still under warrenty.

Well that's been my day. Hope everyone stays warm and dry.

Not Feeling well today.......

Well, I'm not going well today, feels like I'm trying to fight off a cold hopefully not the Flu. My Ds had the flu last week and ended up in the ER with 103+ temp and all the other systoms. But I haven't been around him at all. He is staying at his GM's house, because he moved out a couple of weeks ago. I asked him if he wanted to come home but he said no.

So anyway. I'm hoping to finish up a couple more Swap blocks and work on my Hollyhocks today and tomorrow. I'm also waiting for my doctor's office to call me back with an appt because I'm out of my RA meds and need to get it refilled. I had called last week and was waiting for them to called but thought they hadn't until I said something to my hubby late friday night and he told they had called me back thursday while I was out and he forget to let me know. So I called them back today and got the answering machne so now i wait for them to call me back again.

Hopefully if I'm not getting sick because Thursday I go to my Country Quilter's group. I haven't been in 2 months because my friend's sister passed away last month and she was out of town for that. Then when she came back she was sick, but she's doing better now.

I have to call Brother because my sewing machine stopped working the other day and it's still under warentty so they should fix it. I still have my old one so I can still sew, but it's heavier to move around. Well if I get something done today will post it later. I will also try and get the crochet pictures scanned.
