Holiday Weekend

Been really busy the last couple of days with Thanksgiving and other stuff. We went to my MIL's for Thanksgiving Dinner and it was really yummy. My DS was there so that made it very special. After dinner I was going to help my Mil and Hubby clean up and get the leftovers together because we get to take them home every year and after I stood up I passed out. I normaly have some warning but not this time. I hurt my chest and rugburned a knee. I'm just glad I didn't break anything.

Yesterday, I went to my LQS for a class in making a journal cover, I had a coupon so the class was free. I had so much fun making it. Here are some pictures.

Now today I'm making on for a small notepad and I made a bookmark from the leftovers from yesterday.
I also did some Christmas decorating will post pictures of that tomorrow.

It's an Overcast Monday & I've been busy........

My DS called today and said he his having a hard time finding a job right now, so he has been going to day labor and even they aren't doing very much. I did find out that he will be at my MIL's for thanksgiving so I can't wait to see him.

Had to help hubby when he called the insurance company about the accident last month we hadn't heard anything so we had to call information to find the other guy's insurance company and then we called them and let them know what happened so hopefully we will hear back soon from them.

Yesterday we had company over some friends from the sca and I learned how to do Viking jewerly. it was really easy and alot of fun. (pictures below).

Today I'm working on my 2nd mystery quilt from quiltbug-the Corn off the cob one. below is a picture of one of the blocks. I have about 16 more to go. then I'm going to back it with Flannel which I already have. and it will be one more thing off my UFO list.


This past weekend I finished quilting DD's asian quilt for her. Had a slight opps on squaring it up after quilting and cut into the outside border so I had to take it all off, then I just added binding to the outside of the squares. it turned out really good I think. The first picture is the front and the second picture is the back

These are some ornaments I made for a swap. Front and back of them. they were really easy to make and alot of fun.

SCA Weekend.......

As you can see I was busy this weekend at an SCA Event. The Following pictures of of me and Hubby is the one in the green and yellow tunic. we are on the Lyst field helping the ones that were fighting.

Then I took some pictures of the Taven that our friend runs. Hubby built the trailer for it.

We had alot of fun even though Friday night we had some rain, so we had to wait til it stopped to put up the tent. Then we had a nice dinner with the people we where camping with. Saturday was a nice day Sunny but not to hot. We were in the crown walk behind our fighter and his wife, hope to get pictures of that soon. The table at the top was where we sat during the fighting. Most of the stuff was mine as the fighter and his wife forgot their table cloths and cups.

I got to walk around with her when she gave out the gifts she had for the other fighters wives/girlfriends. It was alot of fun. Court lasted about 3 hours that night, then we had dinner with the people we were camping with, then we got the wind and the cold. I was really glad hubby had bought me a sleeping bag even though I told him we didn't need it. lol.

Been doing laundry and cleaning up since then. I finished my ornaments for an exchange and I'm quilting DD's quilt today.

Swaps and other Stuff

Well here my update for this weekend. I got my package from the Angel Stitching Swap. Everything is so lovely. Thank you so much Sharon

The bag above was made at quilt guild this week, my DD gets this one and I'm going to make another one for me but I think I will make it bigger to fit my laptop.

The above picture is of my old computer (the cream one) which I just got back and it's working again mostly, it still has some issues but when my friend comes over hopefully we can fix them.

November already.......

I can't believe it's already November. Boy has this year flown by. Hopefully this will be a good month. I've been not feeling well with the weather turned rainy but I hope tomorrow is better.
