Design Wall monday

Here is what's on my Design Wall for this week. The Fabric for the project for the Ugly Fabric swap and a Halloween P.C. for a swap.

I hope to get them done this week but I have a Shire meeting tomorrow night in Deland. Then Wednesday is quilt guild and Thursday last mintue packing for the Event this weekend and I won't be home til monday night.

Plastic Canvas time...

I've been in a mood to work with Plastic Canvas for awhile now but been busy with getting the quilts done for the show and stuff for Fall Coronation. So today I took somne time and made a magnet for a Halloween swap I'm in. Isn't he cute?

Then i noticed on the next page of the book i got the pattern for the bat out of that there was patterns for Carnivale stuff so I made these and then used ribbon to tie them to my SCA basket.

So my Basket is all ready for this weekend. Now i'm working on a bigger Halloween Plastic Canvas project for the other swap I'm in, will post a picture when I'm finished.

I'm back...

Well for the last couple of days I've been without a phone. Tuesday we had really bad thunderstorms and the phone went out, and it didn't come back on. So Wednesday I went up to the Country store and used the pay phone to call AT&T they said I had to wait til Friday to get it fix. Oh boy.. no computer- can't talk to anyone, So i read and watched TV with Hubby and got some things done.

I made pillows & we finished the masks for and SCA this weekend. The purple on is mine and the green one is Hubby's.

So Firday comes and the At&T guy gets here and says the problem is inside the house with the phones themselves and not their lines, so we unpluged all 3 phones and moved stuff to get to the jacks and one of the jacks was busted up so he replaced it and now I'm back.

Next week is going to be busy as Tuesday I have a shire meeting then Wednesday is Guild then next weekend is the SCA Event.

New Dresses...

I finished my dress for Coronation now I have to make a mask to match it.


I also have another underdress cut out to sew up today. I was sick and in bed with a head cold yesterday and really felt bad, I'm feeling much better today.


Here is the Grey Underdress I made today.

Now to cut out the 9-Patches for the pillows.

Welcome to my Parlor said the Spider to the Fly.

Well, I'm sitting at my desk eating lunch when I look out the window and what do I see?...this spider with a horse fly. Now I'm really happy it's outside because they both are to big for my liking.

But I do feel sorry for Mr. Froggie as he is on the outside of the window too and he hasn't moved the whole time but to me he looks nervious, I know I would be in his place. I don't mind the tree frogs on the window, but I wish Ms. Spider would go away.

Oh by the way here's what I'm having for lunch today. Cottage Cheese and Venna Saugage, they are my favorite thing to eat. (Oh! Ms. Spider just droped her fly wonder what's she is going to do now? I hope she leaves Mr. Froggie alone.) I mostly have them for lunch and with potato chips but didn't feel like chips today yet maybe later.

See the Black and Green dress well I'm adding a black lace overlay to it so I can wear it at FC next month. Here's the Lace

Yeah! Ms. Spider left and Mr. Froggie is fine.

It's Monday again.

Well I finished the sleeve and the label on my What quilt it's all packed up for the show so that's off my design wall and I still have the Ulgy fabric to make into something but I have an idea now, can't say what cause it's a swap. and i also have 2 table cloths to make on my design wall but don't have a picture of them.

Plus today starts the Angel Stitcher swap, the first of the free designs are up just click on the picture on the side of my blog under Swaps.

UFO Finished

I finish my quilt today, now I just have to add the 4" sleeve and label to the back of it. This is going to be in our Quilt Show here in September at the QuiltFest.

I'm happy it's done and off my UFO list. Now on to the next project.

What's on my Design Wall Monday.....

Here it is my WHAT? Quilt, it's sandwiched and ready to quilt.

That's my goal for this the first part of this week. I can't wait to get it finished, then it will be off my UFO list also. I have the quilting all drawn out on golden paper and that's just the quilting for the midlle, the quilting on the flower border is going to outline the flowers not all of them just about half, then the quilting on the striped border is going to be FM. I have a white with pink poka-dots for the binding. This is going to be in the QuiltFest Show in Jacksonville in Sept. The second half of the week will be making something out of this fabric, for the UGLY FABRIC SWAP at Quilting-Where Imaginations Grow I have an idea of what I want to make, just have to find the pattern for it and see if the fabric will be right for it. if not I will think of something to make.

Another Week Over...

Well, I've been working on a Teddybear this week. We havean SCA Event coming up and the theme is Carnivale so we all are going to be wearing masks all day and there is a "Masked Ball" Saturday night. I have a Dress I'm redoing for the Ball and I have to make my mask for it. I'm also making one to wear during the daytime. I don't have to make any new dresses because I didn;'t wear the ones I made for another event because I was sick, so that is covered.

So anyways we are supposed to deck out or campsite and stuff and this teddy sits on our bed during the day so I thought he needed a Tunic and Mask too. It was a fun and easy project to make.

Plus I machine Appliqued a hand towel for our bathroom. I really like the way it came out and may make another one later to have a matching set.

I also got my WHAT? Quilt sandwich now just have to quilt it. I hope to do that this week so I can get it finished and off my UFO list.

Mini Quilt Wall Hangings

I made these just for something simple to do in between quilting my quilts for QuiltFest. They were fun and they helped me practice my FM quilting
I still need to sandwich my "What?" quilt so will do that tomorrow.
