Wow it's Spring!

Well decided to update the blog in Spring colors today. I hope everyone had a Blessed Ostara today. I haven't been getting much crafting done as I have been going to a chiropractor for my neck. It is helping but I have to go 3 times a week and it takes up most of my day hopefully after Friday's visit I will feel like doing something. The best part is no pain anymore. We went to the Local Freedom Fest here in town and won 2 of these lamps and the lion.
Then last night was dress in camo day and hubby won a GC to Wal-mart. Didn't go tonight it was kids night may go tomorrow as they are giving away a spa day and fishing trip.
Well that is all for now.
Have a Blessed day.

Happy International Quilting Day!

My friend Patsy made this wall hanging for me I just love the kitty in it
I've been working on the HK blocks this week and the middle is finished, now for borders. Still have to sew the other one also but that is a To Do for next week
This quilt was a little harder for me then I thought it might be I cut the middle aida to small so I could not add all the corner fabrics to them without losing parts of the cross stitching so this is what I came up with. The blocks for the second quilt the blocks are bigger so I'm hoping when I make them I don't have the same problem but we will see. I really like combining my crafts together like this it makes for interesting results and you always learn what you can and can't add/do to a project. My other problem I have is being dyslexic. I always sew something backwards, now that is fine if it is just for me but these are for Charity so the seam ripper was my friend when I sewed the bottom pink row upside down. I think it came out nice even with all the problems.
I've joined the Girls own Stitching Club this year.  It looks like a lot of fun and I haven't done stitching in a couple of years still have to finish my Angels from Sandi A. we did in her  yahoo group a couple of years ago.
SewCalGal  has more post to check out for today so please blog hop over there.
Will be posting the winner of the Give away tomorrow morning so let your friends know they still have a chance to win. Give away closes at 12am EST tonight.
Hope you have a very Quilty or Crafty day!

Odds and Ends Thursday

I finally got my secret Santa swap above. Loved everything in it. It was Angeled for me since the lady who was supposed to send it didn't.
I've been working on the HK quilt today got a couple more sashing to put on then borders. Then on to the second one.
We had to get a new car here is Hubby giving it a bath, runs great and is really comfortable.
He has also been busy all week cleaning up the front yard so now it looks great.

Well back to sewing  and then some crocheting tonight I'm making a St. Patty's day door hanging for my friend, but it will be late as it is a bit more involved than I thought it would be, :-(
Have a Blessed Thursday!

Fabric cutting this week

The fabric above is part of what I'm using for the POF Mystery on FB by Prairie Quilt Mercantile's. The first step is up so I'm cutting it out. and while I have my table set up for cutting I'm also cutting out the fabric and squaring up these Cross Stitch pieces for the Hello Kitty Quilts I'm making for charity.
I'm also thinking of what I want to give away for the Blog Hop this Friday.
Hope you all have a good rest of the week.

Wow it's March

This is what I've been working on a Cross Stitch Swap my partner likes blue so I thought the teddy bear would be a cute pin cushion with a blue wool/felt backing then had this fairy done so added her to a blue bag to put the pin cushion in.
I still have to finish my groups February BOM & SAL then do March's.
I'm working on a couple of Hello Kitty quilts for charity this month also.
I also have to figure out what to give-a-way next week for the Blog Hop.
Well back to crafting.
Have a Blessed Weekend!
Huggs,
Cleary K.
