Happy New Year Everyone!

Last wasn't a very good year for me medically but I'm hoping this year will be better, during the end of October, all of November and the beginning of December I had Bronchitis. So I haven't been sewing much, but I feel better now.

The above quilt top was the New Year's Day Mystery from Quiltbug Quilt Shop I finished it today, I'm slower this year but that's okay. Now I'm finishing the Christmas Eve Mystery from there .

These are my fabrics for it and I'm on Clue #4. was helping Kris with proof reading the pattern so was doing it before everyone else, but got behind because I'm sewing slower since I had Bronchitis.
Then on New Year Eve morning at around 10am I got a phone message from my Son's boss saying he is on the way to the hospital because Brant got hit in the face by a chainsaw. Talk about me freaking out. Called him back to find out what hospital and could hear Brant in the background telling me to be calm as he was okay but going to need stitches. Well this is a picture they took at the hospital of him.

After the X-rays and and cleaning it, they sent him to another hospital to a specialist for surgery. he had surgery at around 9pm that night and didn't get out of the hospital until after midnight. Here is what he looked like after surgery.

The specialist did a wonderful job and Brant was so lucky he didn't lose his eye or that it wasn't worse. He did have to have some bone reconstructed because it was chipped off by his nasal passage. He will be getting his stitches out on the 20th of this month.
Well it's late and I'm tired tomorrow I will post some of the pictures of the Plastic Canvas stuff I've made and received in the last couple of months. I also updated my UFO list for 2012 hope to get some of them done this year. :-}

Since I posted anything here. I've been dealing with lots of medical issues and FaceBook is takingover my life lol.

Here is a picture of my sewing table with the custom insert. I actully got to sew on it the other day. I was repairing a Flag for a friend. It was so nice to use.

I'm having been doing any crafting because of the medical issues. but I started a P.C. Doorhanger today for 4th of July will post a picture when I finish it.

Suberbowl mystery from Quiltbug

Here is my Suberbowl mystery top, I did some of it backwards so we are calling it the exploding football lol. I'm going to make it into a cover for my serger. I also have the Planet Patchwork one cut out but I've been sick alot since January so I haven't sewed it into a top yet. Hope to work on it soon.

MugRug Swap and other stuff.

I got these (above) in the mail from my Mug Rug swap partner Sandra Williams. I really really like then. Thank you so much.

These two above and below I sent to my partner Brandi L. I did keep 1 of the bottom one for myself.

Now I'm working on this months Plastic Canvas swaps, not saying which snowman I'm making yet. The green velvet is for a bunch on drawstring bags I have to make for an SCA event in April.

I'm also working on trying to get DSL, I am so tired of dial-up Internet. It's so slow and I can't download anything on it anymore and sometimes I think they make it go really slow just to try and get people to switch but if they don't have it in your area there isn't much you can do.
The weather has been beautiful here in Florida the last couple of days I hope it stays this way and doesn't get to hot to soon.

Another Week..

Been busy cutting out fabric for the Stroll the Block 2011 Squishie Swap -it's the fabric above, we have so far 16 ladies in the swap. So it's going to be a big quilt as I'm asking for 12 1/2 " blocks this year.

The heart above is part of the Valentine's Day Secret swap i'm in. Can't show you the rest yet but Thought I would show this hint.

The top fabric is for the Planet Patchwork SuperBowl Mystery next Sunday, I have it all cut out and ready to go. I also got my FQ Fun project done and I did 2 in one as one of them is for the Quiltgallery Mug Rug Swap. I still have to make another one and them send them to my partner.

Plus I just got finished cutting out the above fabric for the QuiltBug SB mystery.

I also cut out some Valentine fabric F8's for a swap. just have to package them up to get ready to mail out this week.

The weather is back to normal Florida weather in the 70's during the day and low 50's at night.

Hope everyone is staying warm with the snow up north.

It's been really cold here.

But I've been working on some Valentine's Day Swaps and trying to stay warm. My RA makes everything hurt alot when it this cold so I can't be in my crafts/computer room much.

I'm also working on 2 projects in one, the FQ Fun Challenge and the Mug Rug Swap. Have them all sewn now just have to quilt and bind them.

Well off to cuddle up with a quilt and read some, it's getting way to cold back here.

I know I'm alittle late with is post, but I've been sick since NYD. So I haven't finished my NYD Mystery from Quiltbug yet so not posting pictures of that. This picture is of the Quilt Guild RR we did last year, got it back in December now I just have to quilt it.

This picture is how not to mow the lawn lol, Hubby was mowing and we found out the hardway that the exchuast was bad. Would have been easy to put out the fire but there was 25 to 30 mph winds that day, so the nice Firemen came to help. Good side we don't have to mow the lawn til Spring.:-)

I made this for Christmas, it came out really cute, got it finished on Christmas Eve.

I also made this snowflake coaster for a swap. I'm making 2 more for me, but the bragound on mine are black not white yarn.

Been redoing my UFO List on my side bar so it's updated for 2011. Hope to get most of it done this year. I also joined the 20011 Squishie swap at Quilts Your Way Forum again. I have to cut my fabric and print out directions for that.
Hubby just hollered for lunch, yummy hamburgers & Cheese puffs.

Christmas Time

Well we've been busy trying to stay warm since Thanksgiving. Our heat went out and it took til yesterday to get the money and the part to fix it. So inbetween staying covered up on the couch with my quilts I have been getting the house ready for Christmas and our Yule Party next weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!,

I got up early to watch the parade then the phone started ringing and all my family has called today. I'm waiting on Hubby to get up from his nap so we can start dinner, he is going to grill the turkey this year.

I'm going to be crochetting an afghan that is 6 years old and I would like to finish it this year and watching movies tonight so at least with working on that I will be warm as our heat isn't working for some reason, Thank goodness I live in Florida.

Yea! new computer and been busy...

Well I've been busy plus at the same time really lazy lol. I did get this dress finished in time today to wear it tomorrow. The Snowman Candlemat was made for a Ulgy FQ Swap at Stroll the Block group I'm in it was really fun to make.

This cloth is cut out for the Monday Mini Mystery that Kris from QuiltBug had on her blog. I'm still working on it. That's part of the lazy in me right now lol.

This is the part that makes me really happy, I got a new computer, now I don't have to use a 10year old or more laptop and I can get to all my websites and groups again. Been trying to get all my links back and it will take awhile for me to get caught up with everything I missed since July in some stuff.

but I can see everything alot better now with my new montier.

I'm also doing the above quilt from Hugs from Helens blog(click on the picture). So, I'm happy to be back and able to post. Tomorrow I'm busy with and SCA Revel event. So have a wonderful Sunday.

As you can see I've been busy with different crafts and getting bunches of medical tests done. They finnally figured out what is wrong and why I'm getting dizzy, it has to do with my Kidneys so I got a new diet and stuff to do. Most of these are for swaps. Except for the Angel WH below and the Kitty TR.

It's been awhile since I made a blog post. Been really busy with SCA stuff and trying to get my desktop to work right, but now it's history so i'm using my laptop. so I don't get online to blog site every much, plus being on Face Book is taking up way to much of my time.

But here is what I've been workin on today, it's a table Runner for the Challenge on Sandi's Blog and SeasonsBOM group on yahoo. This is the cloth I'm using to add the appliques parts, just not sure what i'm putting on there yet.

I'm at DD's House this week....

Flag by the base

I'm having a blast being at DD's house this week, I got her Monday night. Tuesday we went shopping and I got a Air Force teddy bear and some new pj pants and shirt. (will take pictures later).
Then yesterday - Wednesday we stayed home and watched movies on X-Box and had Chinese food for dinner. Today we went into town and I took all these pictures from the car.

Spring TBC WallHanging

Well after I got all my TBC's made and mailed out I put the one's I recieved together to make the above Wall Hanging and the Tissue Box below. I haven't done the outside of the WH because I want to add some more to it later.
i've been slowly reinstalling my stuff on my computer, I mostly lost about 3 years worth of Patterns all freebie ones that aren't online anymore, in quilting, crossstitch and plastic canvas., but I guess since I really never made them yet I wasn't going to lol, so now I have to start over and remember to put everything on CD's.

I have and SCA event this weekend so won't be posting I hope everyone has a Blessed Weekend.

Stitching TBC's

TBC's are plastic canvas tissue box cover sides. The swap I'm doing is that you make one or 2 for each person then we will whip stitch the sides together to make a wall hanging for Spring since that is the theme this time.

The one in the picture above takes longer to make and I'm not a fast stitcher. I still have 7 of these to make. I adapted the pattern from a long tissuebox pattern to fit on this size.

Relaxing Thursday

State Swap

This is the pc. magnet I made for the State Swap I'm in. I took today off. I'm really tired since I've been doing out to PT and Doctors everyday this week and tomorrow I still have my Colon Doctor appt. Then nothing this weekend. I may get to see DD on Mother's day that will be nice. Avetar(sp) is on pay perview Sunday so we are going to watch that- it's my Mother's Day present.
Well i'm still working on the TBC Swap, I'm about half done, I got all the ones that only get one TBC finished and ready to mail out, Now I'm working on everyone that gets 2 as I have to make 2 different ones for each person, I've got 15 more to make.

Jack rabbit

Well looking out my window in my sewingroom I saw a Jack rabbit, we almost never get them out here, we have the reguar bunnies with the white tails up never these. So I took a picture then told Hubby. When he went outside later there were 4 of them but they are gone now.

today i've been paying the monthly bills, did dishes and them I also finished the march Angel Bom and now I'm working on the March SnowBound Redwork BOM. i'm almost finished with that one then on to April's and i will be caught up to this month.

Then I remember that I have a plastic canvas magnet to make for a swap and the swap this month was make something with the color RED so I made this. I really like the way it came out and I'm going to be making one for myself too.

So right now I'm working on some other plastic canvas swaps, the ones I already made and mailed out someone stole them so now I have to redo all of them again. Talked to my PO about but the lady had already been fired so I can't find out what she did with them. So I will be doing that this week along with my Pt for my back and my doctor appointments I have.

Happy May Day/Beltane

As you can see I've been really busy with PT for my back and other stuff, also decieded to take some time off from sewing and I've been reading alot.

Now i'm in the mood for something different so I joined Annie's Attic yarn Club and these are the first 2 kits they sent me. I'm not sure if I'm going to crochet or knit them as they give dircetions for both.

My LQS just started selling yarn and they have an open house sort of thing this evening for it. I want to go but not sure if I have enough engery or the gas for the truck.

Right now I'm working on the March Angel block from SeasonsBOM group on yahoo. I hope to finish that this weekend it's embriodery.

Next week is going tobe full with PT for my back and doctor appts.

Been sewing on Trim

on my Dress and Undertunic for Saturday.

This is the sleeve of the undertunic above and the bottom of the dress below.

I'm hoping to get more trim at the next big vent because I want to do down boths sides of the panels and get thinner trim for the neck lines.

Well that's all I did today. Tomorrow i don't have to go for the medical tast so I get the day off. Oh yeah I did make napkins will take a picture of them tomorrow.

OH MY! What a mess.......

Since having so many doctor apptments and medical tests done , my room is a mess. Everything has been put in one side of the room to be put away later and I just noticed that I think "later has arrived". I don't think I can pile anything else in this side plus I can't get to my closets to put anything away lol.

At least the top of my sewing area is clean only one project on it. But the underneath need to be cleaned up a little, that's where all my scraps and next projects end up. There is almost no room for my feet so I can sew.

And look at my stash shelves, I think it's time to fold my fabric again, which is fun because then I find fabrics I forgot I had.

So maybe this week I can find some time to clean as I only have one appt for a test Wenesday. Then Saturday we have the SCA event, but the following week I start the PT for my back and I'm suppossed to go 3 times a week so I don't know if I will feel like doing it then. I did clean off my computer desk and change the cloth that was on it. but forgot to take a picture of it.

Friday Night Sew-in

I got alot done last night was up til 2am sewing. I got alot done for the Friday Night Sew-In at Heidi's Blog (click on it to see more Sew-in ladies)
My first Block is the March Guild Bom, I think it came out great.

This second block I made a couple of days ago (above) but I fixed the corners on it so now it's right (below)

I made this block L2Q April Bom last night, it was the last one I made and as you can see I messed up the part on the top so this morning I used my seam ripper and fixed it.

Plus I made the April Guild Bom Block last night it came out right.

But I didn't like the fabric I used so this morning I made another one and I like this one much better

Now I'm going to work on my 3-D Wall Hanging, I've go alot to cut out for it.

When I got the mail today I got a package it's from QuiltBug the fabric I ordered with my GC came. The first 2 fabrics are going in a Quilt that has an applique cat & butterfly on it.

Finished a couple of BOM's

Guild Februray BOM block

The first block is from my Guild Bom, I'm doing it in Black and Reds mostly. I just got finished cutting out March's and April's block and in April's Block you need 4 colors so I added a grey kitten print for another type of black and a red flowers for another type of red.

L2Q 2nd February Bom Block

This block is the 2nd choice they gave us for February. I didn't notice til I saw the picture that the corners are wrong will have to frog it later and fix it.
I also got the 2 Stitchery BOm's for March traced on to fabric and I'm cutting out the rest of the BOM blocks plus i have to trace the Stitchery blocks for April, so hopefully this weekend I can get all caught up. Tomorrow I have tests again at the hospital in the morning.

My Fabric Pillowcase

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been posting much, been very busy with Doctors and test, but

hopefully that will slow down some. Found out my heart is good no clots, did the

chemical stress test and they said everything looks fine, but my blood pressure

is low and they took me off the High BP meds, they want to do some more tests to

find out why I keep passing out, they call it a tabletop test, will find out

more about it tomorrow.

Then went to lung doctor and have COPD, they want tests done at the hospital for

that, will find out when tomorrow.

Plus they x-rayed my back and have spurs and arthritis in it so have to start PT

for that soon.

Other than that I did manage to get to quilt guild this month and I'm making 2

pillowcases today for the million pillowcase challenge. Will drop them off at my

LQS tomorrow after doctor appt.

My Sil got deployed overseas last night and won't be back til the end of

November, please say some prayers for him that he stays safe & that times flies

by for DD, she is staying on the base til he gets back, they have only been

married a year and this is his first deployment so it is a big ajustment for

both of them.

This is my mystery quilt I made yesterday with QuiltBug online, the pattern is called "Love of Chocolate" but since I didn't use pinks and browns and mine has kitties I named mine "Love of Kitties"

Well I got the first part of the clues that are you done and I'm working on the ones that are cut with the Tri-Trecs Ruler, just have a couple more to sew together and the 32 of those will be done. The mystery starts tomorrow at 9 am est at QuiltBug.

April/Easter Mini

This is my April mini quilt for the contest at Sandi's SeasonsBOM group on Yahoo. You know I just had to put the chocolate bunny on it because it isn't Easter without one.

Good Eggs Bunny Hop- Winner

The Winner for the Give away is #7 Kaye, My Hubby picked the winner after I printed out all the comments all 25 pages of them and read them to him. He picked Kaye's because it reminded him of when he used to tell the kids if they weren't good he would got hunt the Easter Bunny, and they believed him, which is really funny as my hubby isn't a hunter, lol.

Now for my Give-a-way, this is a combination of this and my 300th post (no I didn't forget) The basket of Bunnies above is hiding the prize behind them, they wanted it to be and Spring/Easter Surprise, just like when growing up you didn't know what kind of Easter basket you where getting or what was going to be in.

Anyways here is a picture of Easter Sunday when I was growing up.

I remember getting up on Easter morning to get ready for church and then when we got home there would be baskets on the dinning room table and eggs hidden in the backyard for me and my older brother to find. But the weirdest thing that ever happened was we had this big Tom cat and for about 4 to 5 years each Easter morning he would leave a dead rabbit on the floor by the door to the garage and every year Mom would forget and almost step on it on her way to the car. We don't know why he did it but, he finally just stopped doing it.

Sew & Quilt's Mystery Quilt

I had a really good time at the mystery quilt yesterday we got there at 2pm and didn't leave until 9pm. They had it set up so that all we had to do was sew, the ladies that work at the LQS did all of the ironing for us. I wish I could take one of them home with me it saves so much time when you don't have to stop and iron

We had a pot-luck around 5pm and after that everyone started getting really tired, but we sewed on. The mystery's we do are from Debbie Caffrey and next year she might be the one teaching the mysery to us, that would be so cool.This one is called "Undercover in Chicago V" I'm making the smaller one. I put a picture of the blocks I have done so far, I'm still sewing on the others, hope to get it done this week so it doesn't become a UFO like last years

Butterfly YOYO

Yesterday I went to my LQS Sew & Quilt Shop and we did a Mystery quilt class. While I was there I got to look around the shop and I found bunches of goodies. The top picture is a Yo Yo maker for butterflies so I thought I would try it.

The next is some fabric I got for backing a table topper I have it's the silver fabric. The other fabric is for 2-sided napkins, the back side.

Then I found a walking foot to fit my sewing machine haven't tryed it out yet but I can't wait to. I also got a new pair of scissors in purple.

Design Wall Monday-March

This is my cloth for my LQS mystery quilt Saturday now I just have to do the pre-cutting.

Just wanted to let you know they didn't find any more blood clots in my legs today so that's good. Now I just have to see the lung doctor wed. and get the stress tests done the 24th & 25th.

My DD & SIL are going to be her either tomorrow night or Friday night, I can't wait.

My piles of things to finish for March

Doesn't that look yummy? It's cold tonight and we are have a party at Sandi's Wooly Buddies group on yahoo. It's an Anniversary party, so I will be up late tonight in my jammies.
See this First pile it's all Fabric for 2 projects. The first one is my guild 3-d wall hanging that we did this month that I want to finish and what's under it in the basket is my LQS's mystery from last year, it's queen size so it's taking me way to long to finish it and next Saturday is theis years mystery which I will be going to.
This next pile is all the cut out plastic canvas for a TBC (TissueBox Cover) swap at my P.C. group on Yahoo. I have to have them finished and mailed out in April. The roses you see behind them is a p.c. tissue box cover I got from a swap years ago.
These are all my BOM's i'm doing and other monthly projects. I'm alittle behind due to all the doctor appointments and tests I have to get done right now but they should be easy to get caught up on between now and April.
This is why none of the other is getting worked on right now. It's the Quilt for my SIL, we found out he is being deployed in April and I just found out they are getting leave so I will see my DD & SIL for the first time in over a year. They hopefully will be here next week so I want to have this finished by Monday. Plus I have to finish some p.c. Easter Coasters for them and an Easter Basket for SIL to match the one I made DD, which I dug out of the closet to give to her. i'm hoping to have the borders put on tonight then do the quilting tomorrow just X's in the middle of the blocks and FM on the borders, then binding done Sunday.
I really hope I can get it finished. Wish my luck.

300th Post -Wow

I can't believe this is my 300th post. I was going to have a give-away then I decided to combine it with the March Good Egg give-away coming up so stay tuned for that.
The Cross Stitch chart below is my prize from Cheryl at Prairie Grove Peddler from a giveaway she had on her blog, I can't wait to stitch it it is so cute.

This bag is from a Challenge in my Cross Stitch group, I had alot of fun making it and made the fairy into a front pocket.My Hubby has been watching the Food Channel on TV, so I decided to see what he has learned from it and asked him to make me a fancy dinner. This is what he came up with. Doesn't that look good? It's Pork chop and spring salad, with peas and applesauce. It was really good and he made some kind of sauce for the pork that was mouth watering. Plus he made steamed shrimp scampi for before that, I forgot to take a picture of it, just ate all of it lol.

Then he made dessert, it's a cimmion (sp) sauce with litely browned pears with vallina frosting on the sides. It was soooooo yummy.

Also I changed my colors for March. Got alot of sewing to do this month.

Finish and Sneak peak

Okay my Table Runner is finished, i just pillowcased the edges then used a fancy stitch around the outside and in the middle. My First UFO finish for this year.

This my Hubby brought home to me yesterday isn't it pretty? I love Hummingbirds. It was a just because gift and I love when he does that.

Friday Night Quilt-in

As you can see my theme for this quilt-in was St. Patrick's Day. I sewed the table runner together now just have to add the backing. Then I also made a Plastic Canvas door hanger for my front door.

Then I finished the St. Patty's Day Manget for a swap.

I've also been working on some Cross Stitching but can't show that yet. i did alot of the cs while watching the Ice Dancers last night.

Spring Bunny Swap Recieved.

This is the Cross Stitch Spring Bunny that I got from Carrie for the Swap. Now it's unfinished because we are supposed to finish it ourselfs anyway we want to. Can you see the dircetion I'm going with this? The fabrics match perfectly so Wall Hanging it will be, now weither I put it in April's Mini quilt or just have it as it's own WH only time will tell.

Right now my hip is hurting so no sewing on the machine for me today so I'm stitching my CCS & PC swaps. Will post pictures when I'm done.

Preping Wednesday- Part 2

Let's see where was I? oh yeah, here is a sneak peak at the fabrics I'm using for the Winter Mini Quilt Swap at Quilting Gallery. This is a Plastic Canvas Wall Hanging I want to make for myself, hopefully I will get it finished before St. Patty's Day. Then I have the PC St. Patty's magnet I have to make for a swap, I have it cut out just have to stitch it and drop it in the mail when I get my partner.
Plus, I have a PC Easter Swap, we have to make a medium something so I'm making egg coasters or the Door knob hanger not sure which one will go out to my partner or which one will stay here. Have to have them done before the end of March.
Then the next thing I have to make is an Easter Magnet like this one. This one I made a couple of years ago, made one for each of in the family and also mini bunny baskets that match.
I have one more thing I'm working on but I can't show you even a peak because it's a secret swap for a Cross Stitch Spring Bunny. Will show it when my partner gets it.

Well that's my plans for the rest of the month. I also want to get some of my UFO's finished.

Preping Wednesday- Part 1

Well today I didn't have to go to the RA doctor they call and changed it to March, but they did tell me good news as my lungs are okay and for now they are leaving them alone. They will check them again in a year. So, I have the rest of the week off from seeing doctors and tests.

I finished the quilting and binding on the Superbowl Mystery from Quiltbug. I even slept with it on my bed last night boy was it warm and snuggly.
These are the fabrics set to me for Quilt for Kids. I hope to finish this and the flannel 9-patches into quilts for them by April and get them mailed back to them.

This is Coco the puppy my Hubby brought home last October, She's a Rednosed and American Pit. She was starving and just a little thing then. See you can see all her bones.

Now she is looking much better and is very playful. She is a very smart puppy. The only problem is we have to keep her indoors or in her kennel because all the male dogs in the neighborhood are stopping by and she isn't fixed yet. No, I don't want a house full of puppies and she's to young.

I finished my L2Q February BOM Block and I traced the February Angel Connection & SnowBound BOM Blocks onto fabric for me to stitch.

I Won & update on me

Thank you so much for voting for my All Hearts Quilt. I won this weeks contest.

This is what I found out from the kidney doctor- my GFR isn't 60 it's 53.7 he went over the CT scan of my lungs with me and showed everything inside of me. He said it looked like I had a blood clot behind my left knee but it broke up and that's what caused the dizziness, he said I was lucky that it broke up as small as it did otherwise I might have had a stroke or heart attack. My knee hurt the night before the dizziness and my Hubby massaged it. The doctor said that was what broke it up.

He also showed me the damage to my lungs and told me the it wasn't too bad yet. The CT report says that there are emphysematous bullae seen in both lungs and minimal bibasilar atelectasis is seen. Not sure what that is but I'm sure they will let me know. He said my liver was swollen but it was okay and he wants to see me again in a year unless my blood tests change.

They didn't have the Echo results yet so I still have to wait till the 23rd, and I have my other new doctors to see. Plus Wed I see my RA doctor which is good because my hip has been bothering me a lot. But, I'm not going to let any of this get me down, I'm just going to go to the doctors and tell them I want to know what's wrong so we can fix it. Thanks for all your prayers.

Happy Valentine's Day

This is what I woke up to this morning, Hubby got it for me and put it on my bed lol. Then he made me breakfast. I had bacon,eggs and cheese danish. Yummy!. I also finished the quilting on the SBM quilt, now I have to cut out the binding and sew that one today or tomorrow after I get home from my Kidney doctor appt.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day with your loved ones or doing something you love to do.

UPDATE: Sunday Night

I finished the quilting on the SBM and tomorrow I hope to get the binding cut out and put on after my Doctor appt.

This is the quilting I'n doing on my SBM, I free motioned the last 2 borders and the star in the middle Now I'm working on the large yellow areas in the middle part. Tomorrow I hope to SID the 2 inner borders where the triangles are. Then Monday when I get home from the kidney doctor I can do the binding.

These are 10 Valentine FQ's I got in the mail yesterday. Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. The bottom pictures is the 10 Aisian FQ's I got and I'm going to use them to border the 2008 Squishie blocks I have so I can get that UFO off my list.

SuperBowl Mystery & Friday Night Sew-in

Yeah! the top is done, Now I just have to do the backing and quilting and binding.

February 19th Hedi is have a Sew-in- I'm going to do that I already marked my calendar for it.

Also my friend Amy was posted about on Superior Threads Blog check it out.

Not much else happening, I got all the tests done yesterday and they didn't mess up the iv part so things went well with the CT Scan. The Echo took awhile but it was neat to watch. I never thought I would see my won heart like that.

Woolie Buddies Retreat Weekend.1-31-10

I had a really good time this weekend even though I didn't get any sewing done. i did give away so prizes at the retreat and made up a Thankyou bag for the Hostess my Friend Sandi. See all the goodies she is getting.
Here are the 3 bags that 3 different ladies won I made the bags.

I got really lucky because 2 of the ladies are from the USA and the other that won is from Canada. So I asked them what are their favorite colors and sent them these.

Each has 10 DMC flosses and 2 buttons. Sandi is going to be having another Retreat some time this year so will have to think up so goodies for that one too.

Gifts in the Mail...

I got lots of mail yesterday. The first thing is this cute Santa Magnet. I got it from Thren in my Plastic Canvas Group. Then I got these lovely Coaster from June from the same group.
Then later the UPS guy drpped this off my Valentine's Mug Swap from L2Q group I got all these great things from Paula. My hubby took off with the tea light candles they smell like the beach and coconut. I already have the Calender hung up and a picture of my February mini quilt on it.
I'm think about making the pin cousion kit this week. I'm using the mug right now for my Ice Tea.

Wacky Wednesday

Well I didn't make it to guild today, went to the doctor yesterday and have to get tests done next Tuesday and go see a heart specialist, so I'm at home taking it easy til then. At least I have the SuperBowl Mystery to look forward to this Sunday. I've been slowly cutting out my fabric for it. I changed some of my fabric choices and went and bought my background it's the yellow fabric, figured I could use something cheery and some sunshine right now.

I'm still working on my SnowBound January block and I have my L2Q Bom February Block and Season's BOM Group February Angel to do yet.

Plus I have a Spring Bunny to Cross Stitch for a Swap- it's due in March.

I would like to do some crochetting if I have time. To many crafts so little time lol.

February Design Wall Monday

Wow it's already February. Since I've been sick there is not much on my Design Wall. I do a have a couple of things to cut out this week so will be doing that.

The first is the fabric for my guild project this month. The meeting is Wednesday. We are making 4 Placemats and a Table Runner using the Tri-recs Rulers. I will be going if I'm feeling well enough and no tests get in the way.

This second set of fabric is for Sunday, Quiltbug is having a Suberbowl Mystery on February 7th. I'm going to be doing it in flannels.http://quiltbug.com/Free/Magic-tricks.htm The cutting directions are up for 2 sizes. i'm going to be doing the larger size now I know my fabrics aren't quite what she said but I want to use these as see how it comes out. Since this quilt is for me I can do this. I'm also going to be saving the dicerctions for the littler one and I may do that one with fabric like she says to do.

Winter Coasters....

Here are the coasters I made for the Winter Swap at my Plastic Canvas group on Yahoo.

I had a really good nights sleep and didn't get up til 11:30 am. I also had no problems last night. Still going to make all the appts with the doctors even though I feel better, because I really want to know why it happened.

Hubby is making me a wonderful dinner of Chuck roast and potato's and carrots, I will make some rice later to go with it.

My arms are all brusied up but they don't hurt to much.

Going to get sewing on something and back to my Wooly Buddies retreat.

Not doing well.....

Wednesday night I was in bed when I went to roll over I felt lighted headed and like I was going to pass out, so I stayed still, then 5 mintues later it happened again, so I woke my Hubby and and he got me some juice and we took my BP it was 138/92 my normal BP on meds is 112/81, we finally got it to go down to normal and I got some sleep but it was really scary and I don't want it to happened again. So I have to call my doctor today and she makde an appt. for me for first thing in the morning. told Her I have numbness in my fingers and toes so she is not happy about that.
So today Well, I just got home an hour ago from the hospital. It happened again last night. I went to my doctor appt this morning and it happened there my BP went up to 151/102 so she sent me to the hospital for a cat scan of brain and blood work, got that done no problems was on my way home in the car when I felt sick to my stomach and started having pain in my chest. Told Hubby to turn around and go back to the hospital to the ER. we got stuck behind a funeral and the police cars wouldn't let us pass or even listen to Hubby when he tried to tell them we were going to the ER (Going to call and report that later) well we finally got to the ER and they put me in a room and did all kinds of tests, chest x-rays, heart monitor, etc. everything came back fine. They said I may have a blood clot somewhere maybe in lungs so they want me to see my doctor for more tests next week and see a heart specialist too. Oh and they where going to do a cat scan for blood clot in lungs but they couldn't get an iv in that wouldn't blow out my veins have 6 holes in me and many bruises right now. they also gave me nitro pill that helped take the pain from my chest. So now I’m home taking it easy and hoping nothing else will happen, still have numbness & headache so it's just a wait and see.

Angel Connection BOM

I finished my first Stitchery Block. I think it turned out well. But I did realize I have to use an different pen to mark my cloth as this one stayed on the cloth, but I went searching and found my other pen. I tested it on the cloth I'm using for my SnowBound Block and it all came out so I used my new lightbox and traced out the block and tomorrow I will stitch it.

Friday Night's Quilt-In

We has a really good time last night at Sandi's Seasons BOM Group on Yahoo. I stayed up til 3:30 in the morning working on this stuff. The picture above is my February Mini Quilt. So I have that are ready done, it's a Challenge in the group to make one for each month.

This Stain Glass Top is a UFO Guild project and we are having a contest this year at guild to see how many UFO's we can get done. Now I just have to back and Quilt it. Hope to get it done before February's Guild meeting.

This Block is the new one for my Guil's BOM, I did the other one but they changed the size of the block so I had to make a new one. So that's done for the meeting.

I also worked on my Angel Block, it's Sandi's BOM for this year, I'm almost finished with it and will post a picture later. Plus I have to find something for my Design Wall Monday.

I got my swap in the mail today. My partner never sent out so a Lovely Angel Swapper named Thea sent me these. Been Sick

I've been sick all weekend so I have't done any sewing so I don't have a new Design wall Monday this week. But I did get done the Plastic canvas part of it from last week. This is for a swap and it's a magnet.

Burrr it's cold

This was this morning- it was raining ice, and it was really really cold. See all the ice on our swing?
Now Hubby says this was ice too but I thought it looks like snow but he went out there and I stayed in the house so I can't argue with him about it.

So today i've been bundled up see here are my slippers and they are really warm.

Plus I have my quilt on my leggs while I sit at my computer. I've been working on some Plastic Canvas today I'm in a winter Coaster swap and i'm on my third one but I had to go shopping to get more circles and I'm not going out so I went to Annie's Attic for them, they will come stright to my door and no cold for me except to walk to the mailbox lol. I also go some new Croschet hooks that were on sale. As it's getting cold enough to start crochetting in the evenings while I watch tv, plus it helps me stay warm.

Here is a sneek peek of my coasters I'm making. Plus I have to make a Winter magnet, got the pattern picked out and a Valentine's one. Plus, I'm going to be xstitching a Valentine's bookmark for a swap just have to wait to see who I get as the name is supposed top be on it.

I heard from Brant yesterday he made it to North Carolina okay but said it was really cold.

Look what we woke up to...

lots of ice and everything frozen, but man this is Florida so what gives? I know I said I want it to snow but I didn't realize it would have to be this cold to do it. They say our changes are good for Thursday night because it's supposed to get colder and rain to. Keeping fingers crossed.

What a week

so far. I had an eye doctor appt on Monday so no sewing, then Tuesday we went to our SCA Shire meeting boy was it cold. Yesterday my DS Brant came over for dinner he leaves today for North Carolina and won't see him til next Christmas. Here he is with me.
and this is with Hubby. I can't believe he is bigger than his dad now.

Here is a picture of the NYD quilt with the extra border on it. I'm going to be giving it to my MIL when it is finished. This year I'm trying to get my UFo's done so I'm liniting myself to 2 BOm's they are both a groups I'm in.

Okay here it is done as the directions & clues say to do it. Hubby says it needs more to finish it and I agree, was thingking a black border all the way around it and dk red on each side.
But will have to wait til tomorrow to finish that part as i'm really tired now.

Wanted to make this but didn't get the change to yet, hopefully will have it done for next year.
We are going to be watching the ball drop on TV tonight. We don't go out tonight as we live to far out in the country and it's a really long drive to get into town. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful day! i can't wait til tomorrow for the Mysteries to start.

Design Wall Monday

I can't believe this is the last Design Wall Monday for the year. Don't forget to check out Judy's Blog--Patchwork Times to see everyone's blogs for today.
This is what's on mine: I'm going to be doing a couple of the NEW Year's Day Mysteries. The first one is at QuiltBug this is my fabric for it. Now there is paper piecing in this mystery so I have alot to do before Friday. But I don't mine pp so it shouldn't take me to long to make the upfront blocks.
The other mystery I'm doing is at Planet Patchwork
I still have to cut out all the fabric and get it ready for Friday.

I hope I can get both of them finish since I have all the time I want to sew it shouldn't be any problem to do both. Wish me luck.

Here are some pictures of my family on Christmas with their presents. I didn't get one of Hubby this year, he was busy cooking. DD Crystal & Matt didn't make it home but, I did find a picture of her with her friend Renee who got married on the 23rd so it's an updated picture.

some painting supplies for doing scrolls for the SCA, I have to make 4 or 5 of them this year.

Theses are my oyther PJ's they are really confortable.Then I also go new snugglely boots.

I got the 4th season of Chramed from Crystal & Matt. Can't wait to watch it. Now I only need Seasons 5 thur 10, lol

The Day After...Part 1

Well, The presents are all unwraped and Christmas Dinner is put away, Family has all gone home. The weather today is colder and it's overcast and yucky out with brief pactchs of sun.

So I thought I would upload some pictures of what Santa was nice enough to bring me.

First off I got a new belt for my jeans, and the black flowerd thing next to it is another set of Pj's like the ones above.

The the big present I got is this Serger. I also got an appointment at my LQS to learn how to run & thread it on Tuesday. Then I also get Free Classes to learn how to use it on different things.
Then I found all these in my Stocking. Heat & Bond lite so I'm set for doing Appliques for awhile.

I also got this like box so Now I can do all the lovely stichery blocks and do my scrolls for the SCA. So now on to part 2.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope that everyone has all their present wrap and can sit back and enjoy time with family and friends this evening and tomorrow. I got Brant's quilt finished and wrapped today so I'm done with my christmas stuff. Tonight me and Hubby will be watching "The Christmas Story" on TBS we watch it every year.

Tomorrow we will be going over to MIL's for dinner. Everyone please stay safe and warm.

Happy Yule!

I have the Candle lite in the window to greet the Morning Sun for this is the beganing of the return of the sun. Tonight is the longest night of the year and a time to reflect on where you are and where you want to be, at least it is for me.
The picture above is some more of my decorations, that's my Teddybear section. The picture below is a tree Hubby got for the party we had today to put all the gift exchanges under and I used my handmade ornaments on it.And this is my new Tree Hubby bought me, since the kids have moved out we don't need the 7ft one so we got a 4ft one and all my ornaments fit on it and it came pre-lighted, what a nice thing that was. No more hassles with string lights. It only took me an hour to get it up not all day, but I also missed the kids because they always helped hang the ornaments on it.
I already put the presents under it so that's all done too. I just have one more present to finish, which I hope to do this coming week. Then on Christmas day DS and MIL will be coming over for dinner. We are having ham this year with all the fixings.

Also, one of the blogs I follow Irish Muses is having a Give-away for Christmas so please check it out. Who wouldn't want so preety stuff for Ireland.
