Quiltaton Weekend

UPDATE: Sunday Night

I finished the quilting on the SBM and tomorrow I hope to get the binding cut out and put on after my Doctor appt.

This is the quilting I'n doing on my SBM, I free motioned the last 2 borders and the star in the middle Now I'm working on the large yellow areas in the middle part. Tomorrow I hope to SID the 2 inner borders where the triangles are. Then Monday when I get home from the kidney doctor I can do the binding.

These are 10 Valentine FQ's I got in the mail yesterday. Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. The bottom pictures is the 10 Aisian FQ's I got and I'm going to use them to border the 2008 Squishie blocks I have so I can get that UFO off my list.

Quilt-A-ton & Quilt Contest.

Quiltaton-baby quilt

This is what I have been working on for Quiltathon weekend. It's for my Friend Sarah and Tony's baby. Sarah has been on bedrest for the last couple of weeks and they may have to put her in the Hospital soon. We are trying to keep the baby inside her til May. So prayers please.

I had alot of fun free motion quilting this.

Now to see what else I can work on as the day is only half over so back to quilting.

Busy sewing day.

I've been sewing most of today and it's been really fun, I have most of the top done on my TR I've been making, I couldn't decide between adding Santa's to the green blocks or not but I furgured it looked better with them. Now all I have to do is pillowcase it with the backing and batting tomorrow. This is what the Santa;s look like:

The next thing I worked on today is a project for my group Learning 2 Quilt. We have a project to do each month and it's so much fun, this month we did potholders but I made mine a trivet.The last thing I want to show you is a banner I made for me to show at the SCA. We get to have them to represent us at the events, and this is the one I made for me. As I love hummingbirds and do alot of crafts I thought it represents that really well, plus it's my favorite colors.Well, that's all the news for today. Have a Blessed Evening!

Quiltathon this weekend.

Today is the Quiltathon at Patchwork Times I'm working on a table runner today here are some pictures of it so far. I had to figure out which way I wanted the stripes on the outside triangles to go, so I'm going with this one

This was the other way I had themI'm not sure what I'm going to do with it when I get it finished will have to see. May use it as a Christmas gift.

it's raining here today so I haven't been doing much.

Quiltathon.......Asian quilt for my DD

Update at 6:40 pm. I got the top finished. Had to go outside to take a picture and the only place to hang it was on the fence so you can't see the top border. tomorrow I'm going to quilt it.

This is what I'm working on for the Quilt-A-Thon. I took asian F8's that I got from a swap at QYW and I cut them into 9" squares, Along with some other asian fabric I had. Then I sewed them together in rows of 5 so it's coming out scrappy, I'm about half way done ,but wanted to get a picture up. I think it's coming out nice and will look good in her dormroom. I have the backing and the binding picked out for that part. Not sure how I'm going to quilt it yet.
