My Weekend-Renewal of Vows

Saturday Hubby and I Renewed our Vows. Here are some pictures, our friend Sorcha took them. It was really nice and we had a near perfect day!
This is me saying my vows to Hubby.
This is Hubby saying his vows to me.

Our Heartfelt Hugg.

This was before the renewal.

This was the dress I made for the day. Plus some of the stuff Hubby's been working on.

I also gave Tony the baby quilt I posted about here. I talked to Sarah and she said that she loved it and the baby will be coming home from the hospital in it plus will be in it at her first SCA event.
Have a Blessed Day!

What I've been up to.......

I'm here, not much quilting going on right now. Everytime I think I'm done with an SCA project, I find another one that I have to do, or need to make by the end of that month for an event. but i'm having fun and I am sewing just not quilting. I'm learning alot about my sewing machine and that I can sew clothes now as long as they are from the 13 century lol. The above picture is a basket cover I made.
Also I've been finishing up the Beaded bookmarks I need for St. George's at the end of this month. Here they are all finished and in the basket ready to give out to other Fighter's Ladies and Royality.

Then I figured out I needed to hot glue and sew down my Hubby's Crest of his helm for the tourney. It looks like this.

Now he has to take Velcro and add it to the top of his helm. But that is he job (chore) to do. I still have to cut out 1 more dress for me and another tunic for him in Brown so he has one to work in, he's getting his green one stained when putting up the tents and palvillons at the sites. Oh and He wants me to redo these seat cover in green for these seats we had that the fabric seating part got ruined in the rain from being to old so have to have those done by May for that campout it's a 4-day one.

Hopefully some time this month I may be able to sew something quilty, lol.

Have a Blessed Day!

Busy sewing day.

I've been sewing most of today and it's been really fun, I have most of the top done on my TR I've been making, I couldn't decide between adding Santa's to the green blocks or not but I furgured it looked better with them. Now all I have to do is pillowcase it with the backing and batting tomorrow. This is what the Santa;s look like:

The next thing I worked on today is a project for my group Learning 2 Quilt. We have a project to do each month and it's so much fun, this month we did potholders but I made mine a trivet. The last thing I want to show you is a banner I made for me to show at the SCA. We get to have them to represent us at the events, and this is the one I made for me. As I love hummingbirds and do alot of crafts I thought it represents that really well, plus it's my favorite colors.Well, that's all the news for today. Have a Blessed Evening!

BTRS SWAP.......look what I got........

Well, the picture above I borrowed from Beth's Blog as it's such a great picture of the place mats ,napkins, and coasters she sent me for the BTRS Swap. I really love them and can't wait to use them. I finished the ones I'm sending and mailed them out to a place North of me, lol everything is north of me.
Well, yesterday I went to my doctor and I lost 7 pounds, I'm very proud of myself and I can tell as my pants are a little looser.

Now I get to start working on my Grab for the SCA, I have to have them done by the end of August, but as soon as my Hubby cleans off the dinning room table I will have a place big enough to cut everything out. Will try and post pictures when I'm finished with them. I'm also going to make up some stuff to sell if I have time.
Well, that's all for now. Have a Blessed Day!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July........

I know I did. The Shire picnic was so much fun. The picture above is the bags I made for the kits on Blackwork . we didn't do the demo but I gave everyone a kit to take home with them.

Here is a picture of the placemats I'm making for the swap. The backing is the same fabric as the pocket. I'm using different fabric for the napkins but i'm not showing a picture of them until they get to where they are going.

Now ,I have to do the quilting on a quilt I'm putting in Quiltfest in September. I also have to make grab for the Fall Coration with the SCA, so I will be busy for the rest of this month and beginning of August. Will try and post as much as I can, well back to sewing.

Have a Blessed Evening!

Wow, almost July 4th......

Wow, I feel like I haven't been posting for months, things have been really busy around here. My DD sprained her ankle a couple of weeks ago is has been in a splint for the last week, we had to take her to the ER to get it x-rayed. She goes to the doctor next week to have it checked. Then she also has an eye doctor appt. on the 8th as her lazy eye is bothering her again It's been almost 10 years since it bothered her.

My DS is MIA again, got in some trouble with family and police, I got a phone call last week he was in jail but now he is out and he still has not called me at all. I know he is 18 and on his own but I still worry, just wish he would call so I could know he is okay.

I've got so much stuff to do. I have a set of 6 placemats to make for a swap then I have to get together the mystery quilt from Memorial (sp) day to take to my guild I'm going to be teaching it for a class next year. That ought to be fun.Plus, I have the SCA Shire picnic next weekend and I am giving a demo on Blackwork so I have to put together kits for that, and print out the patterns. Then I have the rest of July and the beginning of August to myself so I can get the Squishie Blocks and The Ornament swaps done then I hope. I still have to make a dress for the SCA Fall Coronation of the new King and Queen. And I'm going to make Hubby a new tunic.

We went to the Trimarian Olympics last weekend it was a blast. Hubby won 3rd in Archery Competition. and it was raining the whole time but since everyone was getting wet and muddy anyway no one cared. there was a huge food fight followed by a water ballon fight that the princess started. Can't wait for the one next year we are most centainly going back.

Here is Hubby in a Toga, I made.
He is the one with the light shirt under it.

Well that's all my news for now.

Yes, I do other crafts besides Quilting.........

The first picture is of a cross stitch I did not sure what I'm going to do with it yet...But I'm thinking something Summery, lol.
The second one is harder to see, I have to get my DD to explain to me how to use this camara and lighting. but, it's the afghan I'm crochetting for my Mom. It's in browns and blues and I hope to have it finished soon.
Tomorrow, I go over to my friend Amy's house she is going to teach me how to do binding on my quilts. Then we have to go to Deland to drop of the Mother's Day Challenge Quilts we all made. Not sure what I'm doing after that or how long I will be gone.
Then Tuesday night Hubby and I are going back to Deland for our SCA monthly meeting. Hopefully soon we can aford to join it our Kingdom is called Trimaris and our Shire is called " Shire of Vaca del Mar ". I have to start working on the skirt for it soon as we are going to the TRIMARIS MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 2008 at Ocala Campsite on the 23rd. I want to make my own skirt and over skirt that I can were during the day, plus I have a dress for the Feast that night. I can't wait, I'm going to be going to a Tea & Cakes held by their Needleworks Guild. So, I will get all the information on that.
Well, I'm going to go see what movies are on tonight and work on my afghan.
Have a Blessed Evening!

Happy Earth Day....

Happy Earth Day Everyone!

We had a really big Saturday. We are going to be joining the SCA and we went to a Faire Saturday it was so much fun and the people are great. (picture above of me and Hubby greeting the King and Queen, you can only see our backs but I didn't take the picture. I am in the black dress and Hubby is on my left) I can't wait to go to the one next month. Also we are going to be able to stay for the Feast and everything. The fun part about this is I get to dress up and wear very pretty clothes. I'm going to be making a couple of skirts for this and some table cloths, Chair covers, banners etc so it will keep me busy.
I also got in the mail Saturday the next round for the Spring RR. I have to look in my stash and see what I have to match it. I will post a picture of it later. Then I can figure out what I want my round to look like.
I'm working on a Lunch bag for the Swap and I have it finished, just finishing up the extras I want to add in it. I hope my partner likes it. I will post a picture of that later also.
I have my Spring 4 seasons quilt almost finish and should be mailing it out soon, I hope they like it. I might be making another one to keep for myself as it turned out really nice.
The meds are helping with my High Blood Pressure but I still get tired easily. But I am watching what I eat so I can lose some of this weight.
Well that's all for today, time to eat breakfast,
Have a great Earth Day!

Sunday and getting cold again......

Well, today I made a quilt top for when me and Hubby go to SCA events. It's the pictures above it's made of different Celtic knot pattern Fabrics. So this way I have something to sit on or wrap around me if I get cold. We are going to our first event next weekend, the 19th, I can't wait.
The third picture is of a Fiber Arts quilt I made for a Challenge this year. We got a bag of different fabric and had to make somewthing out of them. It was fun even though I didn't win.
Will it's starting to get colder here in Florida and it's supposed to be in the low 40's tonight and cold tomorrow. But I'm indoors so that's fine for now. Tomorrow I have to go food shopping and get my new glassess. Yeah, I will be able to do Cross Stitch again.
I found a new online crafts store check it out it's preety cool and has everything http://www.addictedtocrafts.com/
Well that's all for today.
