Overcast Tuesday.......

Well, My DD got engaged this month and we finnally got a picture of the ring. So here it is, isn't it beautiful. They haven't set the wedding date yet because he is going into basic training Air Force and she is starting College on the 3rd.

My friend Anges made this pillow top for DD from some of the challenge fabric I sent her. I finnally got it into pillow case form today. I made it so she can just fold inside the black part then that way she can wash it and/or add a new pillow if needed.
Not much else going on, I'm trying to get my Artys Autumn swap stuff together so I can mail it out next week.

Christmas Stitching already...

Well in the mail yesterday I got a sweet little package from my Secret Swapper, now I'm in a couple of secret swaps so I'm not sure who it is from but the name on the address label says Sharon Y of Corna Ca, If you are her can you please post a comment so I can find out who you are. Thanks. I got a cute little bag, the card of needles and a pretty notebook.

This cloth is for my Christmas in July blocks from QYW the middle cloth is a WOW. We are doing signature blocks from Quilter's Cache. I'm working on cutting them out right now, I have to make 9 of them.

Got a letter in the mail today about Crystal college she has to be there on the 3rd of October for Orientation, so my MIL is going to drive us and we will get there a day early and stay overnight in a Motel, because she has to be there at 9:30 am and it's a 5 hour drive from us. She has to go to orientation, then meet her Teachers, then take a test. After that they have a bus that takes them to the dorms. I will see them before we leave. I can't believe that she is going to college soon. My nest will be empty then.

Happy Birthday & Happy Bloganiversary.........

Well today is my son Brant's 19th Birthday. Not sure if I will see him today or not. I hope to though.

Today is also my 2nd Bloganiversary. I've been on here for a while now. I think I will have a contest, Maybe then I can see if anyone reads this or not, lol. So I will put everyone who post a comment to this post name in a hat and pull out a winner on Saturday, August 22, 2008, you have until midnight EST-- Friday August 21,08 to post. The picture above is a Challenge quilt I made yesterday for my msn group L2Q. I've also been cutting out the background fabric for my Teapot blocks I'm making for a QYW Swap. I'm going to be machine quilting them. Then I have to get started on my Christmas Signature Blocks for the same group.

I went and got my bloodwork and tests done this morning, had a really good vampire take my blood, didn't have to do it more than once and didn't leave a mark. They took 8 viles(sp) of blood. I find out the results on Sept 5th when I go back to the doctor. Tommorrwo my Mom goes back for more surgery on her nose. I hope they get it all this time. I will have to call her later to find out.

We also started the Stitching Angel Swap today and I got my partner just can't say where or who she is as it's a secret. But, I'm going to have fun making stuff for her. She likes the same colors I do so hitting my stash for fabric and floss.

Happy Birthday to me..........

Well today is my BDay and it's going great, the picture above is all the cards I've gotten. I cheated alittle in the cards department as I joined a FQ Birthday swap these are all the FQ's I got. Now I can finish my Cat quilt.

I also got 3 Angels from my Hubby 2 are snow globes, I really like them alot the Angel in the middle is made from glass. Aren't they pretty?

Then I got a book I've been wanting from my DD. It's the last in a series.

Then I got a couple of night gowns from the money my Family sent me. I really like them and they are so comfortable to wear.

That's it for the birthday news. I talked to my Mom today and she finnally got her computer after waiting over a year to get it from the men in my family. Well she still doesn't have it connected to the internet, but I was doing over with her how to start it and play the games so she can get used to mouse and the computer. I may call her back tomorrow and explain how to install the software for the internet so she doesn't have to wait for the" boys" to help her. Will let you know what happens. Oh, she also said that she loved the afghan I made her.
